Home Safety Tips
- Test smoke detectors monthly and replace batteries twice a year
- Create and practice a home fire escape plan with two exits from every room
- Never leave cooking unattended and keep flammable items away from the stove
- Have chimneys and heating equipment inspected and cleaned annually
- Keep space heaters at least 3 feet away from anything that can burn
